Weeksville heritage center

At Weeksville Heritage Center, I led the inaugural Marketing and Branding strategy under the new CEO. I spearheaded a complete website migration from Squarespace to WordPress, securing team buy-in and coordinating cross-departmental collaboration. Leading a team of two (designer + assistant), we transformed Weeksville’s digital presence from the ground up. Our work exceeded grant expectations, driving 40% increase in event attendance, 15% year-over-year growth, and significant boots in both foot traffic and online engagement. Not to mention, we spent time getting to know our audience via in-person conversations, engaging in neighborhood conversations and allowing space for external feedback. Beyond team leadership, I partnered directly with the CEO to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with organizational goals.

ELSEWHERE BROOKLYN

At Elsewhere, I used surveys, event data, and audience feedback to develop their music info series on Tik Tok and Instagram Reels. I worked with the CEO to build out the customer experience strategy and collaborated with the social media team to improve how we engaged with audiences online and better establish better communication practices across the board.

NAPPY HEAD CLUB

As a Social Media Consultant for Nappy Head Club (under LJNORTON LLC), I created visual content that sparked authentic conversation, wrote copy that drove traffic, and edited videos that connected with our audience. I built relationships with influencers and partners while developing Instagram stories focused on conversations. Over three years with the same product line, we grew sales, extended following, increased engagement and improve irl event attendance.

GOOD MOVE    NYC

Launched Good Move NYC’s first newsletter strategy and helped expand their social media presence. Led copy strategy, managed a part-time designer, and organized and hosted retreats in Puerto Rico and Upstate New York. Also helped develop video content and build strategy for merchandise sales. Results; double retreat attendance, increased merch sales by 60% and grew following by 10k.

THE WING

Customer Experience Associate: developed copy and strategy for the World Wide Wing campaign which allowed the Wing build a thriving online community through the early stages of the pandemic. My role at the Wing primarily included building copy for ongoing member communications, event communications and day-to-day responses to members.
